Pytheas and Stonehenge

Describing Hyperboreans as those who "lie beyond the breezes of the north wind", one does realise that Diodorus was indeed speaking of the inhabitants of Northern Europe. Apparently, they lived upon an island nearing Gaul, which definitely was Britain.

What still lies a mystery, is, whether Diodorus was reading from the Massilote Peripulus to gain his facts or whether 'twas Pytheas the Explorer who gave him this knowledge.

Are the Stonehenge accounts of Diodorus Siculus etched into history from nameless explorers, or are these vivid accounts of the sun and the calendars and their relation to this great and timeless structure from the eyes of Pytheas to the tip of Diodorus' pen?
